35. Bharatanatyam at Kalaaksharam – Mega Event

13 November 2016 – Kalaaksharam is an Arts Ashram

Brainchild of Guru Ranidevi with the support of KNS.  In five years 20 projects for 20 villages.  The main village is Vittalapuram. 12 kms from Mahabalipuram and  3 kms from Kalpaakkam the Atomic Energy Center.  Bharatanatyam was initiated in 2013.  Anitha James cut the ribbon.  A few months later Aarthi and Deepa visited the site.  For 2 years Pavitra was employed.  After that the KNS students taught classes on Skype and thru Videos.  Guru Rani made several trips and taught them during her presence at the Village.

13th November 2016 was a special concert staging six dancers with two items:

Ganesha Gouvtvm by Vijay Anand and Jaichitra

Nadanamaadinaar by Gayatri, Nithya, Yogalakshmi and Senthil.

Added bonus was Vande Mataram by the kutties.
