70. Kurathis

Along with Adavus, in KNS the first two dances are Vande Mataram that comprises the basic steps and Kurathi – an upbeat classical dance for Beginners.

This is a very creative piece by Guru Ranidevi.  This gypsy girl as a 5 year old (Cindy David) hears about the Baby Jesus and runs to meet him but misses him as he is taken away from Bethlehem, then she hears about the 12 year old  Jesus preaching in the temple, she (Kathy Rowland Chriznowski) runs but just misses him again, then as an adult (Mala Rowland) travels far and wide to see his miracles but each time misses him, finally she hears about the Crucifixion and goes to the tomb,  when there is a bright light on the third day and she sees her Saviour ascend to heaven.
