86. Stage: Tllana with Shobana

Famous actress Urvashi  Padmasri) Shobana — the world renowned dancer – conducted several workshops at KNS.  Students learnt several items and even a Padhavarnam in 4 days.

She stayed with Guru Rani and conducted several workshops not only for KNS students but also students from other dance schools.  She fondly calls Rani as Yekoi, a slang way of calling AKKA meaning big sister.

In 2000 she was invited to perform at the IDEA stage.  She came the day before and that evening taught an entire Tillana to the KNS team and performed with them the next day.  This was indeed a great milestone in KNS.  KNS dancers were:

5. Pooja Narayan
6. Nesi Williams
